The Gardens of Villa Bardini have a particular history and structure. Entering the Garden just follow the signs scattered among the trees and discover views that take your breath away. Bardini Garden is a piece of paradise that lies placidly on the hill of Costa San Giorgio overviewing the Arno river. From there you can see the profile of the Brunelleschi Dome, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Croce. The green area, surrounded by medieval walls of the city, began its life in the thirteenth century, when a powerful family ordered the construction of a walled garden behind the main building. A steep slope, embellished by terraces.
The Bardini Garden and Villa were reopened in 2005 after a long renovation and now they both shine lush. After years of neglect and decay, the demanding restoration has brought back its former glory one of the most beautiful areas of Florence. The unique Villa is now a major center of exposure, but also a rooftop restaurant and a cafe.
